Cherating - Beauty of Nature


Cherating is located about 47 km away from Kuantan, Pahang’s state capital. It is well known to city dwellers and backpackers for its sun, sea and beach. Taking a stroll on the golden soft sandy beach, enjoying the soft breeze and looking at clear blue sea is simply a bliss. The destination is simply drawing you away, to relax, relax and to relax. A perfect getaway for those who wants to rejuvenate without travelling too far.

The best way to get to Cherating beach is to drive a car. Along your road drive to Cherating, you can enjoy the nature as you passes through primary jungles, palm and rubber plantations, and historic towns. It is about half an hour drive from Kuantan. In Kuantan, there are several interesting activities to explore. One of its most famous hotspot is the Natural Batik Village. You can buy batik fabric or clothings (eg. skirts, sarongs, scarves) with batik prints. Or visit the local product shop for unique souvenirs to bring home. As well as meet and mingle with the hospitable locals.



In addition, you can also purchase some local produce as gift for friends & relatives. Chang Kee is a must visit local product shop. It is reputable for its dried seafood and salted fish. You can get the best selection at reasonable prices. Some recommended mouth watering dishes to cook include the Salted Fish Bone Seafood Curry, Salted Fish Porridge, Salted Fish Fried Rice, and Bean Sprouts with Salted Fish.
